Adventures in Baghdad

The setting of the Black Heart Irregulars is modern (slightly future) Baghdad, Iraq. It is meant to be a real world setting, so we see real places like this bridge of the Tigris river into the Green Zone, Baghdad's relatively safe downtown. In this near future, things have actually settled down enough in Iraq for there to be new businesses, a lot on Western interests, and the beginnings of social movements away from the authoritarian governments of the region, and toward more personal freedoms, both in religion and lifestyle.
